      Been seeing some stuff float around from the Draft executive order that leaked and apparently it states they are going to want literally everyone to RE-REGISTER to vote before the 2026 November election even if you’ve been actively voting for years

      Which is…legitimate insanity if its allowed

      The constitution gives states the power over elections. Trump cannot change that with a few strokes of a pen.

      The „justification“ itself is also insane. It requires the admission that the Chinese hacked the 2020 election to help Biden when, when Trump was president, and that Trump either knew about it OR was too stupid and powerless to prevent it, AND in spite of his many court cases where he attempted to overturn the 2020 election this was something he never mentioned.

      AND THEN Joe Biden just like… what… made Trump get re-elected in 2024 rather than „hacking the election again“?

      The amount that these things didn’t happen is beyond all reason, the people pushing for this are straight up evil – they know they’re lying and will do anything to destroy democracy.

      Stop saying his actions could be considered authoritarian or fascist.

      The Executive branch has *absolutely no constitutional role in elections.* None.

      The federal government has no role in the way states handle their elections.

      ANY adjustment to that reality must be met with the most severe, immediate, and forceful opposition.

      Look, Trunp has no authority to do that. None. It would never get through Congress either. If individual states tried to do this, they would be sued. I don’t see it happening.

      Even the SAVE Act, which is a voter suppression bill in content, is even more so because they plan to implement for the 2026 election. Every day it doesn’t pass is just another day a voter trying to get documentation doesn’t have. It is evil.
