    1. To be clear, Anthropic also already did this.

The red line is using AI models in autonomous weapons, and mass surveillance, which as far as we know OpenAI has not allowed either.

    2. Sam Altman is truly a grotesque cesspool of human parts. What an immoral asshat.

My software engineering firm is ditching OpenAI/ChatGPT. Anthropic/Claude are better anyway. Good riddance.

    3. As of today, AI’s not even ready to adjust an image of two feet to make them shoulder width apart with a simple request. How is it ready for defense?

The guy that made the psycophantic doom loop language model? This one is gonna work out great for everybody

    5. Can’t wait for when whomever has a back door to this software instructs it to steal everything DoD has and then delete it all as it closes the door on its way out the DoD door.

I guess OpenAI has no problem dropping the guard rails for the Pentagon. The AI company ran by the moron. Fuckin yikes.

Chat GPT gets so much wrong to the point I stopped using it for simple daily tasks for work.

But sure, let’s put that in charge of making decisions for autonomous weapon systems. What could possibly go wrong

Feels like this is one way to try to guarantee a bailout when the bubble pops

Your validity as a journalist falls apart by not labeling it the Department of Defense

    11. In case you needed another reason to switch to Claude. Just look at the LLM rankings. Claude is number one on the leaderboards, and it’s really not even close. ChatGPT is fucking garbage.

Oh joy. I can see it now:

      From Reuters:

„The United States Department of Defense is once again in hot water after it was discovered that Pete Kegbreath used OpenAI to draft war plans and create military strategies using highly-classified aerial images of Venezuela. When Sec. Kegbreath was asked about the leak, he replied „President Trump has done an incredible job ensuring that our military is no longer woke“. It was later proven that these leaked plans fell into the hands of Russia, Cuba, North Korea, China and Wyoming: nations deemed adversarial to the United States.“

    13. Sam is [claiming](https://x.com/sama/status/2027578652477821175?s=20) they got the DoD to agree to the same prohibitions they broke up with Anthropic over?? What is he lying about this time…

      > AI safety and wide distribution of benefits are the core of our mission. Two of our most important safety principles are prohibitions on domestic mass surveillance and human responsibility for the use of force, including for autonomous weapon systems. The DoW agrees with these principles, reflects them in law and policy, and we put them into our agreement.

ChatGPT is the great value brand compared to Claude. Either be more worried about its LLM incompetency or less, due to its performance inadequacy.

People (used to) talk about late stage capitalism. It got memes and critiqued. Ha, ha, lol.

Thing is, America proved that corporations can and will acquire and merge until they exceed sovereignty.

      And, well. Here we are.
