It’s crazy to realize some people watched terminator and were rooting for skynet.
What about the rest of us paying anthropic customers and what about everyone else? I don’t like the idea the main reason to refuse to assist the Pentagon set up mass surveillance and autonomous weapons is for the protection of us citizens.

Part of the issue is that other countries are developing their own military-AI capabilities and we need to figure out how to modernize our technology without breaching ethics.
Unfortunately, lot of ethical dilemmas with how the nukes were developed and used and a lot of scientists came out against how their work was being used… they were ignored and the nukes ended WWII saving countless lives at the cost of immediately ending thousands.
