It definitely doesn’t end today. They haven’t ended anything. They’re either too ineffectual or complicit

  2. TheOsirisOfThisShit_ on

In summary, a judge talked about doing something, but actually did nothing. Great news story.

    „It ends today.“

Spoiler alert, it won’t unless you ACTUALLY FUCKING DO SOMETHING!

  4. Raspberries-Are-Evil on

Ah yes another sternly worded letter! Put these assholes in jail for contempt, actually do something. Refer them to the bar for sanctions.

  5. One aspect not covered in the linked article is ICE’s recent „policy statement“ claiming an ICE arrest warrant — signed by an ICE supervisor, NOT a judge — enables ICE to enter the target’s home to arrest them; a blatant violation of the Fourth Amendment. See link below for relevant information.

  6. Do it! If anything, make Trump issue the pardons. Make them show the argument „we have to break laws to enact our plans.“ Maybe wake up a few of them.

Call me skeptical. Donald Trump’s 34 felony convictions came with literally no punishment.

Judges will continue to be cowards in the face of this administration then suddenly find their spine when there’s no longer an (R) next to the name.

Hold them in contempt. A Minnesota judge just cited a DOJ attorney and imposed a fine of $500 per day until compliance was met. The DOJ caved the following day.

  9. Haul their asses in, don’t threaten to do it if the acts continue (again)

  10. That’s Judgd Zahid Quiraishi. I know him. He taught my Advanced Negotiation Skills class in law school. I liked him. He was appointed by Biden, but he’s not a Democrat.

  11. At this point, they should be arrested. Any of us would have been in jail long before this.

  12. 1SunflowerinRoses on

Put them in federal prison. For ignoring the Constitution and the courts!!

  13. Maybe if people continue to violate court orders and violate the constitution we issue arrest warrants for all involved. Get court officers to arrest the violators and face actual consequences. Until these people see jail cells it will only get worse.

  14. **Trump Admin:** [after being given a demerit] Like, what does a demerit mean?

**Federal Judge:** Let’s put it this way. You do not want to receive three of those.

**Trump Admin:** Lay it on me.

**Federal Judge:** Three demerits, and you’ll receive a citation.

**Trump Admin:** Now, that sounds serious.

**Federal Judge:** Oh, it is serious. Five citations, and you’re looking at a violation. Four of those, and you’ll receive a verbal warning. Keep it up, and you’re looking at a written warning. Two of those, that will land you in a world of hurt, in the form of a disciplinary review, written up by me, and placed on the desk of my immediate superior.

**Trump Admin:** Which would be me.

    **Federal Judge:** That is correct.

**Trump Admin:** Okay. I want a copy on my desk by the end of the day or you will receive a full dessaggelation.

    **Federal Judge:** What’s a dis… What’s that?

**Trump Admin:** Oh, you don’t want to know.

  15. So tired of „threats“ and „considering „. Shit or get off the pot

Until there are real consequences they won’t change their tunes. Make a change.

I know we all get frustrated when we see „judge warns administration but doesn’t actually do anything.“ But we have to keep in mind that we’re seeing stories from *dozens* of judges around the country, which merge in our minds into one continuous failure of justice. So tobis this is like the 10th „next time I’ll mean it“ we’ve heard. But each judge has to go through the steps in his own district, based on his own cases. This judge can’t skip steps just becahse ther attorneys in other areas are doing similar things. What we’re seeing is dozens of parallel situations all escalating slowly, rather than one big situation not escalating at all.

Do it. Force them to make it CRYSTAL CLEAR they think themselves above the law so they won’t be able to use that bs line anymore.

And so we can prepare against these fascists when they refuse to leave peacefully.

  19. Well it’s about damn time. Get Kristi Noem in there first. Ask her to explain her statement (on Meet the Press) that she doesn’t have to follow judges orders if she doesnt‘ like the judge.

  20. f it „ends today“ dont *threaten*…fucking **do. It. Already**! Don’t give them time to prepare, dont give them another empty threat, dont just yell….fucking **do it**!

  21. Big_Reference588 on

Surely one more „strongly worded letter“ type of threat will bring them in!

  22. Impressive_Bat_5763 on

The fact that a judge has to threaten to physically drag DOJ officials into court just to comply with court orders is a sentence I did not expect to be reading in 2025.

  23. Multiple__Butts on

This is your FINAL WARNING! If you don’t comply, we will be forced to issue a post-final warning, a post-post-final warning, and eventually a letter of stern disapproval!
