What do they constitute a “mosque”? Are they considering any place where more than two muslims pray as mosque?

I am now curious why the eastern border had a disproportionate amount of mosques in 1985

FWIW even when I was in the Navy back in the 80s we were warned to avoid the “Arab” areas every French port we pulled in.

A necessary public service reminder that while there’s 4k mosques, there’s 40-45k churches and est. 100k Christian religious buildings in France.

Liberté, égalité, fraternité is the motto of France. Includes freedom of faith. People’s choice to be Muslims, even if you disagree with them.

And yall wonder why screaming fascism won’t stop the rise of the right wing across Europe

There were already a lot of Muslims in France in the 80 and 90 (more than in other European countries) but mosquées were few and had difficulty to be funded so there were scandals about people praying in the street in the 1990s and Saudian funding in the 2000. Just to say it’s not the best way to know if there were Muslims somewhere in the 80-90s. Europeans seems to discover Muslims but most French Muslims didn’t arrive in 2010 like the map imply.

And yes, the document was created by far rights anti immigration group, what a surprise.

France abandoned their faith and replaced it with those that have it. La terre de Joann of Arc
