They had a deal with ABKCO, the late Alan Klein’s holding company some might remember for suing the Verve for Bittersweet Symphony; buying the rights to He’s so Fine and suing George Harrison; playing a huge role in the break-up of the Beatles; and just being an all around scummy guy.
They did not have a deal with Mick Jagger or the Rolling Stones.
