      >He has said repeatedly he believes Prime Minister Mark Carney needs to secure an agreement with the Trump administration that restores tariff-free trade — even though the president has insisted he’s not ending tariffs.

It’s not that Pierre Poilievre is utterly delusional and completely detached from reality and any measure of fact or truth.

He just knows that getting VOTERS to act that way is his only hope of ever winning anything more than a dubious party-leadership vote dominated by his most die-hard partisans.

Trump has plainly said the only tariff free route for Canada is by becoming a part of the U.S. so why does he insist on talking in this way? I will give the benefit of the doubt and assume he actually wants to be PM of Canada and not a new governor so why not talk about substance that differentiates himself from the perception of American subservience instead of indicating appeasement to public enemy number one.

The u.s. has shown zero willingness to remove tariffs completely and has said multiple times there will be no deal that doesn’t include them. Pierre is out to lunch, as usual.

Ohhhhh…. just secure a trade agreements with the U.S?Why didn’t Mark Carney think of that 🤯?

These Liberal elites just don’t have the common sense wisdom of the blue collar working man.

God bless Pierre and God bless Canada. I can’t wait for my $100 tax cut and then I’ll be able.to afford groceries 😍

I absolutely love that the CPC thinks they can just demand something from the Liberals that literally everyone in the country can see Trump is dead-set on not giving to anyone. It’s such a ridiculous approach.

I would happily vote for a progressive conservative (and did actually, in Carney) but I loathe this cretin.

There is nothing about what he is doing that is authentically for the good of Canada alone. It’s all about saying whatever he thinks it takes in the moment to become prime minister. I really hope people see through this latest attempt to appear statesmanlike.

I want him to go away.

I am usually very critical of PP but good for him to start taking his job somewhat more seriously. Conservatives will never win against Carney by solely relying on rage farming videos on social media to mobilize their base.
