That being said it’s at least nice to see we are doing some things somewhat correctly. Do I doubt that our government is executing any of this well, yes of course. But as a general principle I think we are moving in the correct direction.

Is it cringe however, yes very.

Od lat kreują taka reotryke po to że w momencie jak jebnie nie musieli nam od razu pomagać. Nikt na to nie wpadł jeszcze?

I mean, in European Union only France have similar army potential.

The post-communist mentality, the constant feeling of being inferior, the desire for perpetual self-flagellation. A stranger speaks positively of Poland—“cringe.“ We need to continue slinging mud at each other in the common trough, about how bad and vile we are. We drank the „cringe“ you speak of with our own mother’s milk.

    7. There are plenty of posts here that are the same – in Excel spreadsheet Poland is literally Star Trek level place to live.

    8. its kinda cringe yes, but poland will be the biggest military power in europe pretty soon. atleast when it comes to land power.

It makes me uncomfortable and not because it paints Poland in overly positive light. It gives me a weird anxious feeling to put Poland in such a spot light with such a narrative. It feels like propaganda to justify some actions in the future (invasion against Poland?).

Hard to explain but it smells like it’s done with bad intentions.

What exactly is cringe about it? Can someone expand on the cringe side of this? Is this the same level of cringe, when outsiders claim Poland is so clean and well kept, while one of the main rivers died out from pollution, air quality index is on par with 3rd world countries and then pollution free zones in major cities are so badly done people want to overthrow the local mayor (Krakow)? This level of cringe or what are we talking about in regard of the polish military?

It’s actually pretty demeaning how all our country is to these people is some alt right getaway that is le based and crishchan, when a) not all of us are europhobic assholes and b) we have so much more to offer to the world

No, it’s great that our army looks tough for outsiders, exactly as they should. I hope that we will never know the real combat abilities of our army, but they have very effective „public relations“ for sure and that’s the whole reason to keep an army during peace.

    13. No. If you do cringe, maybe it’s a good time to think whether it’s healthy to feel shame and/or disgust over a thing you literally have no control over, and ponder on our unique national trait – feeling worse than others. Think about the consequences of such a way of thinking; it may be helpful.

Also, it was a bit interesting a year ago or so, when this content started to emerge, but now I just don’t care. It’s also not a bad thing to be seen by other countries this way, so yeah.

Tbh, I never saw anything like this in my YT feed. I’m not watching this kind of videos and it’s not getting recommended to me

    15. Whatchu talking about? I pull 50 000 plan anually ez. Ain’t getting better than that! Average 40m2 apt in my area? 1,2 mil 😎

I love watching these videos when I’m eating my breakfast. They remind me of an old Polish joke, which I’ll paraphrase a little.

Two old Jews are sitting somewhere in an old quarter of the city. One of them is reading a fascist newspaper. „Moishe”, one of them asks, „why are you reading these newspapers? don’t they hate us in them?”. „Izaak, look around you. Everywhere you look, there’s poverty, hunger, lack of hope. But once you open these newspapers – all of a sudden, we’re powerful and we rule the world!”.

That’s how I see these videos.

    17. It gives me a good perspective how trust worthy are such videos on other countries. Best case scenario, it’s a click bait, which is still bad.

Although I don’t mind others thinking we’re stronger than we actually are.

    18. Feels a bit like a nation wide ego stroking. Makes me wonder if there’s so much of it because it sells well, or are there other reasons.

      Czwarta rzesza is back

    20. Yeah, but I’ve seen these so many times since last 10 years, that I don’t really care anymoe

    21. dakokonutman3888 on

Not really, not at all even. I definitely don’t mind it, I think it’s kinda cool that people are starting to realise we even exist

    22. tepes_creature_8888 on

I mean it’s kinda good, and from my perspective it adds several messages:

      1. Message to russia -> fuck off, and along with supporting Ukraine, this works very well
      2. Message to West companies, we have a really great strength, you can invest money into us not being afraid of any conflicts
      3. Patriotic message to the people of Poland

but that’s a perspective of Ukrainian, who, unfortunately, did not have such propaganda before 2022
