I had a cousin who was a police chief in Donna, TX back in the 80/90s. He was a retired sergeant with the Houston Police Department. The first thing he found out was the department, as well as city council, was horribly corrupt. They ended up firing him because he wouldn’t „play along“ (take bribes).
