To think about it, I haven’t seen them in some while now. I’m also not seeing too many people delivering uber eats as much as I used to. It is because the prices has become so high that people are refraining from using them?

Wow, then… skylark group must be very mad at them now.

They use wolt’s delivery service to deliver to their customers.

I worked in Wolt in product team, the service never took off. Most Japanese users jump to from app, rather sticking to one. Basically they go where is cheaper based on the shop.

The app was too much “European” by Japanese feedback but product people never took seriously the feedback. Too European as in both app brand but also design patterns. Took a while to convince product stakeholders to even adopt a simple address picker that worked for Japanese addresses.

The loyalty program launched ~3 years ago was a total fiasco, I saw “staff” (as in seniority) designers shitting on the brand people, editing design of the local hire.
The design people they sent from Finland were arrogant, often late and incompetent and refused to listen to the local hire in both design and development.

I’m sorry to see the many coders and support ex colleagues without a job.
Not their fault, but this isn’t unsurprising.

I moved on last year. Glad I did it.
