      Switching sides mid-war saved them, like it helped Romania regain Transylvania (except that we lost some Soviet border regions permanently).

      Luckily for us, we are not so obedient and disciplined as the Germans are. Maybe this makes our country less organized and efficient, but during WW2, for us it only took the Americans and British to land in Sicily for losing faith in Fascism and Mussolini. In Germany, the story was really different.
