Once again shoutout to [The Maple](https://www.readthemaple.com) for its [stellar investigative journalism](https://www.readthemaple.com/canadas-arms-to-israel-scandal-explained/) in breaking the story of the Canadian government’s continued direct complicity in Israel’s genocide in Palestine and exposing its earlier lies about “no new permits” (there were) and then only allowing “non-lethal” exports (no such official classification), and the routing of such exports to Israel via the US (which it reported on as early as August 2024).

The CBC is late to the party by a long shot, but since a much larger number of Canadians get their news from them, I’m glad they are starting to cover this issue.
