      I was in Kyiv for this. Slept through it. Looking at this, I have no idea how I managed it.

      Never expected to see the war from this perspective ever. Hopefully it ends soon and putler runs out of materials/meat for the meat grinder

      Holy shit could you imagine this view of the thousand bomber raids over Germany, the firebombing of Tokyo or some of the Linebacker raids during the war in SEA?

      Gives such credence to Carl Sagan’s *Pale Blue Dot*:

      As a former inhabitant of „Rocket City“, aka DaNang AB Vietnam, I know exactly the feeling of being under constant rocket attacks. My heart goes out to all Ukrainians who must endure these terrifying attacks. I know the never-ending mental pressure and strain of trying to live normally while still expectant of further attacks.

      The daily courage and fortitude exhibited by the people of Ukraine must be honored as the highest expression of what it means to be worthy of being called a free people, a people determined not to submit to totalitarianism

      Thank you for setting us, the world, such a fine example.
