It will also take a pile of money out of the pockets of a huge Trump supporter and put into the governments pocket. Win, win all around.
I’m very much just going by feelings here, but I can’t see how the Gordie Howe bridge will only take 28% of the passenger vehicle traffic. Unless you’re already in Windsor you’re likely going to be coming into the area on the 401, and I don’t know why anyone would leave it, drive down a city street, and take the Ambassador Bridge instead. What am I missing? I’m honestly curious.

Matty Maroun purchased the Ambassador Bridge in 1979. They have had almost half a century of monopoly and opportunity to diversify their investments. The Ambassador was opened in 1929, making the infrastructure almost 100 years old. I have no sympathy for them.
After getting this resolved, make sure CBSA does a full complete inspection of every vehicle crossing the Ambassador bridge into Canada.
