      They keep changing the goalposts… what are, according to them, the literal goals this week?

      The Kremlin achieved none of their own stated goals in 4 years time and even managed to severely worsen the strategic position of Russia with for example Finland and Sweden joining nato, the sanctions, Europe’s move away from Russian gas usage and the tanking of the Russian economy.

      The Russian decision to fully invade Ukraine in 2022 turned out to be the worst strategic disaster for Russia in decades.

      Their goal is security for the people in the East of Ukraine and they are achieving this by making them live in a war zone for multiple years?

      Interesting how they would now admit this, they must realise they can’t hide the entire truth so are attempting to again shape the narrative by making it out to not be as bad as it actually is, I.e the truth that they actually achieved virtually nothing at a horrendous human and material cost

      Putin doesn’t have a choice to end this war. If the war finishes without complete annexation, he is likely going to jump out a window for being too weak.

      Well it’s not all bad, it’s clear Putin will go in history as he wanted. But just as a man who shat on cultural and familial links between Ukraine and Russia when he recklessly thought to prove people generally have no democratic instincts that it was all western interference with no real desire for self preservation. 

      But discovered that when pushed by a supposed self proclaimed strong man, those strong men actually look pretty weak rather rapidly as their regimes are inefficient expensive shit holes unable to successfully fight against people striving for freedom.
