      Macron is talking about geopolitical aspects, which don’t really matter to Putin.

      The purpose of the war was to stop the risk of opposition to the regime forming in Russia. To this end, Putin has succeded for now. It only cost them a million casualties and a destruction of their economy. But Putin remains Tzar

      The longer the conflict draws on, the weaker Russia becomes. Young Russians weren’t around for the USSR collapse and have no ideal of what is waiting around the corner…..The world remembers, and so does the Russian government. Failure of Putin’s folly will end of this version of Russia. Then, same as before. Russian hubris painting thick coats over generational humiliation.
