Nah. Healthcare is a human right. Let’s have a probe into provincial governments underfunding healthcare instead. Why is my local hospital fundraising like a Girl Scout troop while my provincial tax money gets blown on Toronto municipal issues?
Finally, some common sense. It’s difficult enough for Canadians to find doctors and receive health care today. The country needs to prioritize citizens. Hopefully there will be some consent from Carney on this.
I think the policy of providing a hotel room and living allowance for a year needs to be abolished.
Refugees should only be given an open work permit upon arrival, nothing more.
However it’s simply not possible to deny healthcare, doctors and hospitals would be obliged to care for those individual regardless, they cannot violate the hippocratic oath.

As usual Conservatives would rather encourage workers to fight amongst each other over scraps than discuss making up revenue shortfalls by taxing the rich, whose incomes relative to workers have soared over the past half century.
If the opposition allows passage of the immigration bill there would be significant reductions in the asylum wait list.
