Die „Wird KI die Hollywood-Erzählung töten?“ Es gab einen Moment im Jahr 2024, als OpenAI sein SORA-Videogenerierungsmodell veröffentlichte. Zum ersten Mal sahen die Menschen ein KI-generiertes Video, das fast dem entsprach, was sie im Fernsehen und in Kinos sahen. OpenAI hat davon keinen Nutzen gezogen, aber ein neues Video-KI-Modell namens Seedance scheint dieses Versprechen bald zu erfüllen.
Die US-amerikanische Fernseh- und Filmindustrie hat bereits zu kämpfen. Während Covid-19 wuchs es schnell, ist aber jetzt stark geschrumpft und ist kleiner als vor Covid. Das liegt nicht an der KI. Die Stunden, die man mit Fernsehen und Filmen verbringt, werden immer kürzer, da immer mehr Menschen ihre Zeit damit verbringen, Online-Videos anzusehen. Diese werden meist kostenlos von anderen Nutzern oder in einem vom herkömmlichen Fernsehen/Filmen getrennten Ökosystem zur Erstellung von Inhalten erstellt.
KI wie Seedance dürfte das Online-Content-Creator-Ökosystem ankurbeln. Bald werden sie (fast) alle Vorteile haben, die Hollywood hat, aber nicht ihre Kosten. Es ist kaum vorstellbar, dass die Ära der Filmbudgets in dreistelliger Millionenhöhe noch viel länger andauern kann.

Maybe but only because Hollywood is nepo baby hell and AI is cheaper. But also way worse.
But then again they released an AI movie already into theatres and nobody watched it because it was bad. It often fails to even maintain consistent characters.
You can shovel slop into people’s mouths if they have no other option, but sometimes if the slop is SO bad people would rather not eat. Plenty of hidden gems and pre-AI media that’s actually good.
Is there much appetite for AI movies or even short clips? I mean from a consumer standpoint?
Oh yeah people got absolutely riled up for AMC TRYING to air an ai short film before an actual movie and you think it’s replacing Hollywood

Try to put a feature film in the theaters or on a streaming service and watch it get absolutely shit on.
Ai will only work to assist on human made shows and will replace do all the camera work or the acting or all the writing… People that look for good films to watch will see that’s is ai
