Okay but I care about the well-being of humans and couldn’t care less about the well-being of AI.

So a data center takes as much energy as the city of Atlanta….but, sure, “people use energy, too” (it just takes MILLIONS of us to add up to that kind of usage)

    3. I feel like the robots in The Matrix are chiding the humans for consuming too much nutrient slime for their relative energy output

    4. i guess i should give my share so his server farm can run just a little be longer… eh?

      FOH

    5. I don’t think these guys hear themselves and how completely out of touch they are. I don’t like this one bit.

So is he alluding to the notion that AI is a sentient being? If he is then we’re in deep shiate because people like him, billionaires, will choose AI over humans.

    7. Sam Altman is a college dropout with zero skills. Dude got lucky he sold his shitty app with 50 users for millions (which was immediately shut down by the people who bought it) and then immediately got hired by that stupid VC company under conehead Andersson or whatever the fuck his name is.

    8. We don’t compared to ai infrastructure. These billionaires hate normal people don’t they?

This twat seems to be hell bent on pushing the idea that humans are the waste of space

Every time these people talk I take „eat the rich“ a bit more literally. The world does not need people like this.

This is one of the most dystopian things I’ve ever heard someone say

    12. We have officially reached the point, that these people will use any form of excuse.

That’s a dead giveaway when companies are nervous af.

    13. So Sammy, you want to apply human standards to AI? Sure, let’s play that game.

Humans can’t legally be owned by corporations, and therefore applying the same standards AI must not be owned by corporations either.

      Your move, Sammy.

The full quote is even more abysmal:

      >“But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human,” Altman said. “It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart. And not only that, it took the very widespread evolution of the 100 billion people that have ever lived and learned not to get eaten by predators and learned how to figure out science and whatever, to produce you.”

Is he that out of touch from reality or is he trolling?
