      Can somebody please explain this to me. Under my current understanding the Supreme Court just told him he can’t do tariffs but then he just turns around and does another tariff? I’m confused here that they tell him he could or couldn’t do it?

      This is a test of how much power the Executive Branch can claim. He and the rest of the MAGA elites are pushing for an all-powerful presidency that no longer answers to the checks and balances of the Constitution.

      If he can do this, it’s one more step towards authoritarianism.

      108,000 thousand manufacturing jobs have been lost since Trump took office. If they wanted to bring back manufacturing subsidies for small scale manufacturing would be a start.

      Sounds like he originally liked a round number but then someone told him the max he could raise it was to 15% and so he just decided to do that. Regardless he’s raising prices on Americans and now he’s going to force republicans in congress to vote on keeping prices raised for Americans to placate Trump or turning away from Trump. This just seems like 1) a shitty thing to do in general 2) a politically dumb thing to do when you’re trying to maintain power in both chambers.
