selling off studios to Netflix feels less like strategy and more like surrender
Netflix is notoriously ruthless to work for. I’ve known 2 different employees who’ve worked for them and both have said the work environment/culture is horrible.
They will have realised Netflix is less likely to immediately fire people.
Netflix wants access to WBs traditional studio stuff not just IP.
Paramount just want the IP.

Netflix is more international and less prone to political nonsense. I would lean toward them, if I was Warner Brothers. Avoid having to bend knees.
Also given the nature of Warner Brothers, DC comics and animation, they need the freedom to speak without reprisal so as to touch on concepts which make people question their world.
With how Paramount is behaving, they won’t get the freedom with them and their art will suffer as a result.
Netflix taking over Warner Brothers will be bad for the entertainment industry. Paramount taking over Netflix will be bad for the entire country.
Makes sense, Netflix is way way more likely to leave them be and not fire a shit ton of people
Too bad it’s not up to the staffers. They can always leave if Paramount succeeds.
