One of the quirks of the act he’s using to do this is that Congress has to vote on these new tariffs within 150 days, so get ready for another round of congressional chicanery in August.
He also stated that this is on top of existing tariffs, and that the Section 232 tariffs are staying in place

It’s easy to say American education is so poor but it really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be. Most Americans are relatively smart people.
So with that in mind, how are they just taking this lying down? They elected a demented moron who’s blatantly stealing from them, robbing their children’s futures, and raping the country as hard as rapes children, yet they’re just taking it like the clowns the world considers them.
As usual, Trump says a whole lot, but it really is not clear what he means, and we won’t figure out for another couple of days. Does the 10% apply to countries which already have an agreement, does it apply to CUSMA, nobody really knows, but the most likely case is that nothing will come from this.
The only real takeaway from this is that Trump will not take being backed into a corner all that well, which should not come as a surprise. Things will get worse before they get better, and we shouldn’t take his likely defeat in the midterms to mean he has been neutered.
