Hmmm … I may not understand that, but. I want to. Can I?

To be honest I don’t remember this one, there were ungodly number of this kind of browser games back then and I never saw the appeal. I’d rather play BG2, Age of Empires, Total Annihilation or any other game with my friend than this and this was a golden age of gaming, so many classics.

Bro, Smoki Nightwood was a legend of a browser game, I can’t fathom how some might not even recognise it.

BTW if you use Wayback machine for this website you will see people typing in chat on upper part of the site… It’s genuinely harrowing. Like watching ghosts from long ago. Makes me really depressed.

Smoki Nightwood były super, a słyszeliście że fani się zebrali i stworzyli coś podobnego, co zaczęło nieźle funkcjonować – Mistwood 😊

I remember supporting revival of this game on Patronite, for some time you were even able to access an incomplete version of the game. Then, there was news of admin’s passing, RIP

In Bułgaria we had almost the same type of browser game at the same time, called „The Legend Of The Green Dragon“. People were spending as much time and dedication into that as in Diablo and all the other „real“ RPGs. Just goes to show good design is good design, no matter how simple or complicated.
Didn’t know Poland had its own version of it 🙂
