So, one of the favorites of the current administration in dealing with foreign policy has been to apply tariffs and then reduce the tariffs for concessions.
Now that they’re deemed illegal by the Supreme Court, how does this change foreign policy?
More direct military action?
Witholding military support?

It means that Iran is in trouble.

I predict a completely unhinged Truth Social post followed by the administration completely ignoring the ruling. Courts and laws don’t mean anything to them.

The most likely impact imo is the Trump admin switches to blunter pressure tactics. But also possible it has a cooling effect on the trade war.
It could be a huge victory, a non-factor, or a net negative for Canada.

Most likely they will simply reimpose under section 301 or 232, or I heard another statute that is being considered that I don’t recall offhand. This just means that IEPA can’t be used, not that the tariffs are going away.
