    1. And yet people will read this and continue going to these places. Ignore is bliss etc. I stopped going to KFC a few years ago when they dropped out of the pledge but still enjoyed a Nandos occasionally, but will stop going there now too.

These businesses are openly saying they don’t give a shit about welfare and quality of their meat.

    2. Let’s be honest here. Most people, abate some lip service, do not give much of a sh*t about chicken welfare. They care a lot more about price, and whether the chicken is delicious.

    3. Lidl is pretty good with this, they clearly label halal vs better welfare chickens.

    4. Let’s be honest, most didn’t know and it won’t impact sales. What will impact sales upwards is in 12-18 months when they do a whole advertising push about how they’ve now joined this welfare pledge scheme because of how much they care, without mentioning they had dropped it when it was inconvenient.

This is a bad time for me to be reading this as I’m tucking into my nandos meal

    6. Both nandos and KFC is pure pleb food. Wouldn’t touch either with a bargepole
