Full statement:
Let’s do the math.
Százhalombatta (HU) can process at most 8 million tonnes per year, and the Bratislava refinery (SVK) 6 million. Domestic production in Hungary is around one million.
Let’s talk capacity.
The Adriatic pipeline can transport 15 million tonnes of crude per year from Omišalj to Hungary and Slovakia (you did the math, didn’t you?).
LINGUISTIC NOTE: in some European languages, “supplementary pipeline” apparently means “a pipeline able to cover basically everything.”
Now, let’s talk money.
Transport tariffs, whatever today’s number is, are a rounding error in the total cost (about 1 %), while Russian crude is ~30% cheaper than the alternatives.
P.S. All this noise is about money. Our pipes speak the truth – so should you.
Sorry OP, I don’t have full context, can you comment with some articles on the matter, I’m really interested to learn how dumb those two crooks are
And the tone of Hungary is not friendly or normal as you expect from your neighbors. It’s demanding, they ordering someone something in another country.
Tbh its a miracle that Šušnjar can do math too.
From Slovakia perspective is even more complicated as this refinery Slovnaft is owned by Hungarian MOL Group and now ex advisor of Fico know for good ties to Epsten files is part of the Slovnaft supervisory board https://slovnaft.sk/sk/o-nas/nasa-spolocnost/organy-spolocnosti/dozorna-rada/miroslav-lajcak/
Let’s wait what will happen in Hu in April.
