When you think about it, Musk’s sudden withdrawal of StarLink from the zrussians has been a gift of unintended consequences.
Zrussia had no Plan B whatsoever, confident Musk would ‘keep them in the loop’ and the Ukrainians took immediate advantage by launching mid winter offensives.
I assume Musk didn’t expect that.
Zrussia’s Plan C has been to festoon trees, buildings and old comms towers with WiFi bridges and other shit, all easy targets for drones, as we can see from the many videos in the last week.
Ukraine must take full advantage of this, because I wouldn’t be at all surprised if zrussia was able to start slowly registering StarLinks again.
Yep – there is clearly now a focus on taking out local comms to prevent different units from talking to each other, resulting in no situational awareness, and general panic. Combine that with efforts on taking out the UAV groups and the door is open to advance even in winter.
