      Why in god’s name would anyone agree to do Israel’s occupation for them?

      In every asymmetric war ever fought in the last 100 years, the invasion is easy, it’s the occupation that costs in blood and treasure. Israel chose this path, they don’t get to walk out on the hard part.

      First of all why would Kosovo send troops? They still have to deal with Serbia and any potential conflicts with their Serb minority. Second Indonesia doesn’t even recognize Israel. Is there some kind of deal for Indonesia to deal to recognize Israel in return to sending troops to Gaza?

      I don’t see why people are all so mad about this plan? It makes every sense to choose Muslim nations to be the forces that interact with the locals while also not being troops from countries directly interested in the conflict. There is a relative balance between NATO and Anti-NATO volunteers, all these countries have a relatively good track record in preventing radicalism (I believe Aceh is the exception?) and most importantly they won’t seem like a cultural/religious shock to most people they are responsible for policing.

      But redditors will of course be mad because Trump is the one who came up with this peace plan, I wonder what alternative they propose that isn’t about placing Hamas in charge (Hint: The PA won’t work, they are utterly corrupt and could not even control Gaza before this mess).

      Even in the best case scenario of this succeeding, I don’t think the Israelis will relinquish the Philadelphi Corridor.

      I’m not saying this is a great plan and yes it looks really silly but choosing nations that are primarily Muslim isn’t a bad idea for stability in the region it could be seen less as foreign invaders and more as members of the same faith providing security. Idk why those nations were chosen (probably their alignment with US foreign policies) but it does look odd seeing Indonesia Kosovo etc occupying Gaza. But I guess any foreign power aiding Israel in their occupation is odd.
