      One thing that’s frustrating about Germany (and EU in general) is that they don’t see why aligning with China is against their interests and it takes US pressure to get them to act (how difficult was it to keep EU from installing Chinese telecom spyware?). As soon as US pressure became less effective (thanks Trump!) they go a do something dumb. Meanwhile China is going to eat Germany’s industrials (cars, trains, the mittelstand) for breakfast.

      Just because the US is annoying doesn’t mean you should ally yourself with China.

      China is none of that. The Chinese would celebrate for weeks if Volkswagen goes bankrupt. They support russia with weapons because it weakens Europe. They definitely do not think like we do.

      Yes, they are a trading partner, the same as the US, but that is where it stops.
