Sweet sunglasses, bro! More money for AI to get rid of jobs for people! Keep using ChatGPT to fuel growth for the economy, people! Haha! We’re not fucked at all! We are so great at making the rich get richer without any consequence whatsoever! What a life we’re living! This bubble will never burst! Haha!

    2. So is most of this money for hardware and data centers? I don’t understand where this money is being spent beyond this?

    3. By all means, let’s continue to fund this thing that makes human expertise, experience, and skill useless. Makes people dumber, and funnels money to the biggest assholes on earth. Oh yeah, and could potentially kill us all.

      Why NOT!?!

Just another hundred billion bro. Another hundred billion and a few dozen data centers and if we could burn through the Great Lakes and also get just one more itty bitty hundred billion nobody will ever have to pay anybody a wage again I swear. Come on dude we’re gonna make GLADoS within six months. Just another hundred bill

Huh, there’s another group of dumbfucks who forked their money to Shitman? If this bubble really takes out OpenBS, I wish those dumbfucks to explain it to their shareholders/investors that they did a little oopsie (and the money is gone) when OpenBS croaks up with no more funds to pilfer.

    7. I wish I could open a funding round for my life and show no returns historically or plans for any in the next decade like startups do.

The first portion of the funding round will largely come from strategic investors including amazon Inc., SoftBank Group Corp., Nvidia Corp. and Microsoft Corp., the people said. If those companies invest near the highest ranges of what has been discussed, those commitments will near $100 billion. Those companies are expected to finalize their allocations by the end of this month, some of the people said.

LOL. „If OpenAI gets the tippy top of the amounts that they can get out of all these corporations, it would be around 100 billion dollars guys!“

Considering that Nvdia backed out of their deal of 100 billion dollars and only offered a max of 20 billion, I seriously doubt the others are lining up to pay.

Especially since Microsoft has just announced that they plan on going on a different road without OpenAI soon. And SoftBank literally had to liquidate their holdings to pay for that first deal with Stargate and are in financial straits.

      The vultures are circling OpenAI.

    10. Every time I hear Altman speak, two things come to mind.

      1. This man is shockingly uncharismatic and what he does is just „say things“

      2. Jesse Eisenberg is going to be in another movie one day.

    11. I wish for these guys to release a bookkeeping / accounting AI, must be some magic level talent to train on walking the halls..

Watching AI kinda reminds me of Watching NFTs so much over promoting people digging down on sides on how well it’s going to go or not go.

What I’ve found it has it’s uses a good replacement for say google or great at breaking down tons of data and showing patterns and that’s great in certain areas.

But it also has some major issues security being one of the biggest, then its method of taking all of the data its provided from businesses and useing it to apply to other businesses so most companies that use AI will be providing the same service.

Then you have the issues of it peaking out hitting its limit like we are seeing with its LLM models. We are also seeing issues on how it’s being used as new wave of bots and its taking up more than 50% of Internet traffic so we are starting to see signs of the dead Internet.

I can’t tell if the bubble is going to pop or not but I can definitely see that the data centres they are building won’t hold much value all parts inside them will need to be replaced every 4 to 5 years then what exactly are the centres actually going to be used for? Because so far the limits on AI is programming not more data if anything thats starting to cause more frequent ghosting. The valuation is also ridiculous they will never turn a profit. We are already seeing signs of businesses pulling out and the big ones investing in AI themselves because most of the AI programming is open source.
