  1. Michael Burry (from the „Big Short“) closed his fund and returned all investor money — saying „the market is acting funny.“

    Food for thought…

Man, that Trump, always going above and beyond. He only promised to raise housing costs, but he also raised everything else! /s

Inflation is tremendous, it’s never been better. We’ve made inflation great again, can you believe that? They say that it’s the best inflation anyone’s ever seen. I don’t know about that, but that’s what they’re saying. The best inflation ever.

    -Trump, probably

But have they considered that military bases have had their names changed??

There was a terrific revelation from a [court case brought by the southern district of new york](https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2026/01/08/walmart-pepsi-price-fixing-scheme-lawsuit/88083796007/) against WalMart that revealed that WalMart is able to get manufacturers like Pepsi to provide a higher price to other grocery chains. Because WalMart has such a large market share they wield this kind of power.

By colluding like this, WalMart is *also* able to charge a higher price. This effectively eliminates competition with other markets and drives prices up for everyone.

I’m sure that other near-monopsonies in different sectors are applying this kind of pressure on suppliers, while also elevating prices on consumers.

So it’s not just tariffs. We were seeing stunning price hikes during the Biden administration.

  6. He’s doing a great job. Affordability is a made-up word, and it’s all a democratic hoax. Even the red hat people know prices are up

  7. A couple years ago $150 for my weekly grocery bill meant I was heavily splurging on name brands and luxury unnecessaries. Now it’s the floor for just buying a week’s worth of basics.

  8. Trump could be gone tomorrow if the Guardians of Pedophiles wanted him to be.

DO NOT let Trump be the empty suit that takes the fall for this. 99% of what is happening has been a Republican wet dream for a half century.

This is on the party that controls every branch of government right now. Blaming Trump is like blaming a 6 month old for having a diaper full of shit.

Honestly one look at him has one question if we should start judging a book by its cover. I honestly don’t see how anyone can look at him and think he is even a remotely decent person.

  11. Most of maga are just now starting to see the tarrifs in their grocery bills. Enjoy eating that bag of chips from the empty food bank.

Where we are gas was 2.74 on Election Day, 2024. Gas has been consistently higher since except for about 3 weeks ago when it dropped to 2.55 a gallon.

    Today it was 2.99.

  13. The fact businesses are saying *now* they need to raise prices is like ice down my spine. And they will not go back to before either

  14. Nice matching photo! Rich people might not like rising prices, but they’ll still be able to purchase everything they need.

  15. I bought a fifth of tequila today – up to $21 from $18 last year. Pres Fat Bunny is a bastard.

In year four they will still be blaming things on the Biden Economy

  17. Egg prices are way down, 18 for $2.95.

Every other thing in the grocery store, and pretty much everywhere else, up, up and way the fuck up.

  18. Revolutionary_Eye887 on

The higher the prices the greater the tariffs the more money Trump makes.

  19. Freddy-Borden on

That’s fake news, Trump himself said prices are way down. I don’t need to compare prices, or see things with my eyes, I only need to listen to Jesus’ chosen leader tell me how things are, right MAGA!

But not on gas and eggs though. And that’s all I need to survive. /s

The congressional Republicans have spent $5,600,000,000,000 over their two recent stints controlling the house. That’s 5.6 Trillion, this is why you can’t afford groceries.
