    I meaaaaaaaaan they don’t want foreign students so I guess you really get what you wish for.

  3. There’s probably too many anyway, especially for a country whose companies value university name over degree field. Most of the important learning and training happens when graduates enter a company.

    I was surprised when I heard that there are 5x as many universities as there are in the UK, despite only 2~3 consistently ranking in the top 100 globally, and probably no more than 10 ranking in the top 500.

    Yeah, fewer customers, less revenue, some businesses are bound to fail
    I don’t see how it’s an issue

    if you do a masters or research in japan your peers and mentors will shun you, bully you, and cut you off from opportunities.

    Japanese university is a total joke, it’s just a glorified daycare to hang out at while you apply for jobs.
