If only there was another source of people eager to learn at world class universities. Too bad that doesn’t exist. /s

There’s probably too many anyway, especially for a country whose companies value university name over degree field. Most of the important learning and training happens when graduates enter a company.

I was surprised when I heard that there are 5x as many universities as there are in the UK, despite only 2~3 consistently ranking in the top 100 globally, and probably no more than 10 ranking in the top 500.

Yeah, fewer customers, less revenue, some businesses are bound to fail

Japanese university is a total joke, it’s just a glorified daycare to hang out at while you apply for jobs.
