    2. I for one would like them to join the EU if it were possible followed by them building the greatest wall ever to keep their southern terrorist neighbors out. 😁

Of course we do. Shared cultures and values. Reliable and stable allies. Every single Canadian I have spoken to this year about politics or trade desperately wants to pivot away from America.

    4. Canadians want Canada to increase trade, what else needs to happen? Should Canada also want Canadians to increase trade?

How about increase trade with any country that doesn’t treat people like shit

    6. Pragmatic/realistic viewpoint here:

Of course don’t we all think we’re pragmatic and realistic?

Increased trade between Canada and the EU is great, but how is it going to get there? Unlike the US, Canada has geographic struggles that make it more difficult/expensive to move cargo east to West and vice-versa. One of the reasons Canada does so much trade with the US is simply because it’s easier for Canada to move goods south than it is east/west, and in turn, Canada is more economically interconnected with the US than it is itself.

Canadian premiers have recognized this for decades but Ottowa has limited/restricted a lot of movement to build the infrastructure out to help rectify this problem.

Hopefully carny will green light the projects necessary to increase trade flow between the provinces, or else all this talk of increased trade with China and the EU is for nothing.
