This guy really is an idiot. Did he honestly think he could plaster himself all over the media looking for sympathy, and that none of this would come out? I mean he obviously did, just one bad decision after another with this guy.

I know it doesn’t affect his treatment by ICE, but it does affect his attempt to garner sympathy from the public. To think, people wanted Martin to go over and kick up a fuss with the giant orange erratic toddler over this.

Caught with pills, stays illegally in the states, ends up in the modern gestapo camp. All for being a tit. Not exactly James Bond.

Now his daughters are in the media, look I’d usually not like this sort of thing but to be fair their dad seems a knob so at least they got a few quid.

    3. What annoys me the most is the sloppy „journalism“ regarding this whole story. It was originally presented as a sob story. Now all the facts are being reported and this lad sounds like a proper scumbag. Time to come home and face the music.

That’s the truth of the matter. The onus is on him for his mistakes and overstaying his visa permit.

Yikes does make for grim reading in that he’s an awful father and a bit of a dope!

However, I still don’t think he should be confined into a prison camp on rationed food and zero healthcare and in danger of being killed by heavy handed prison guards who aren’t qualified and he is 1 of thousands in the exact same situation.

Unsure what the process is now a few political influencers have said he is caught in legal limbo as he technically has a right to be there but his past crimes of violating his visa also say he needs to go. Two legal branches saying opposing things meanwhile he’s stuck in the middle

If anyone has given to his gofnd me you can request a refund up to a certain period after you’ve made the payment. I don’t know what the requirements are but I’m sure theres one that fits the criteria of recipient is actually a prick

When he’s back here will he be held to account for not paying 18 years worth of child support?

How can anyone look at their 18 month old kids and just be like „alright, good luck for the rest of your lives, I’m off“

      Proper prick that lad.

From the start I knew there was something not right about that chap , why on earth would he stay in what he described as a concentration camp when he could’ve been returned to Ireland ages ago? Was thinking surely Ireland isn’t that bad 🤣he’s a dope and anyone that was defending him are dopes too.

    10. Minimum_Doctor2391 on

Wouldn’t have much sympathy for him. I would judge someone on how they look after their kids

    11. Delighted the guy is finally been exposed 😀 all thanks to power of socal media. The Irish media should be embarrassed 😂😂

I wonder will Seamus the Plasterer trump Paddy the Plasterer in the world of memes??
From thick plasterer to slick plasterer. What a difference a brain makes.

Looks like he’s been given an additional 10 days before being deported….According to Sky News.

I’m lucky to be a dad of twins. It’s like been kicked in head by life but in a good way. They were so much work . I can’t imagine running out on them. To do so it the mark of a proper cùnt.

    15. francescoli on

He could have been home months ago if he wanted.

So hed rather stay in a concentration camp than return home..

    16. LittleAoibh11 on

Absolute bottom of the barrel person leaving his little twins like that. Delighted for them that they are getting the chance to publicly drag him. No sympathy for him at all.

I’m beginning to understand why the civil rights movement chose Rosa Parks instead of the other bus lady because if you aren’t objectively perfect everyone will just shrug and give the good old „They were no angel“ argument for an abuse of your basic human rights.

    18. StockUsual4933 on

They also said that they were told not to speak out about him being their dad. Why? Who told them that? Thats an absolute scandal in the waiting.

    19. This has turned out to be such a weird case. From the initial cries of poor seamus from his sister to dodgy revelation after dodgy revelation

    20. Otherwise-Winner9643 on

What an idiot. He absconded from a copied case in Ireland, abandoning his kids and was illegal in the US. Instead of trying to quietly get it sorted through thr Irish consulate, he gave an interview to LiveLive.

How did he think this was all not going to come out?

    21. ferpederine on

There was a couple of articles defending him in the Irish times yesterday and today. The one written by Kathy Sheridan seems very confused. Saying how we should not expect special treatment abroad just because we are Irish, but at the same time, criticising „keyboard warriors“ for NOT expecting that same special treatment? I dunno, maybe I read it wrong.
