    1. I cant blame them. When I went to Budapest last summer I was surprised how many anti-Ukraine/EU billboards, banners and ads they had everywhere, but especially on the outskirts (coming from the airport). I was thinking if the money they spent on the propaganda would go to the public services, maybe the city wouldnt look so run down.

It’s crazy how much funding the party has. It’s more campaigning than even what we see in presidential elections in rich Western nations.

And all campaigns are begging the voters to make Hungary a poor totalitarian satellite state like Belarus. The big utopian dream is to not merely be the poorest nation in EU, but the poorest nation in their region.

    3. These giant billboards should just be banned everywhere.. ads in general need more regulation.

    4. FYI most of the people aren’t falling for this stuff anymore, so they’re basically dumping money into a fire pit, that’s what makes it even worse. They also tried to blackmail the opposition leader with an illegally recorded sex tape(with a woman of age that consented, btw), but the guy just came out and said what happened so they couldn’t threaten him with the video’s release.

I live here and these posters are littered throughout the country. seeing this makes me happy.

Also, funny story about Fidesz. where i live they are reconstructing a railway between two cities. they closed the railway for 1 year and in that time they didn’t do any work, and now they came to an agreement so the work begins now and it will be done by end of June.

So people were traveling with buses for over a year and nothing has been done.

Came back from Budapest yesterday. I couldn’t imagine the city so rich in histrory and culture could be so full of state propaganda. It felt like in rural Russia almost.

    7. Hungarian National Debt Agency plans to acquire *** 10 BILLION EURO loans *** in 2026.

Those ads are not paying themselves, we, taxpayers must pay them.

    8. > Public frustration grows

Does it really? Or are these just a couple of bilboards torn up by two bored teens?

    9. Good, but don’t offer them reasons to hit the cause with bad PR: clean that stuff as much as you can, or expect the inevitable „See? they claim to be environment friendly but look at what they do!“. Don’t forget they have the press and TV on their side so whatever suits their narrative will be taken out of context, amplified then used against you.
