It’s actually crazy how difficult it’s got to access what is such a basic need for a lot of people.

    2. RSA has been dysfunctional for several years now. Why do FFFG governments just sit on their hands while people die on our roads in their hundreds, and thousands are left with life-changing injuries? Government appointees to the board? People promoted beyond ‚abilities‘? FFFG fear of change/rocking the boat? The carnage will go on.

Give it to whoever set up the Passport Office, it’d be righted within a week.

One of the main complaints is the long wait times for tests, huge reason for this is they don’t have enough testers and testing facilities, hiring more people is the answer to this, the government just don’t want to do it. Mandatory high vis and helmets for all cyclists is a good idea, but when it was proposed half the dail and half the cyclists act like you’ve proposed the nazi final solution against them. The rest they are complaining about, intoxicated driving, illegally parked cars are issues with enforcement and Garda resources, not rsa problems. Again can be solved by
      The government hiring more gardaí.

The rsa and the Garda work reasonably well when they have the staff and resources to do it.

Completely true, but this goes for most governmental bodies across the state, requiring complete top to bottom reform.
