mini map: Vatican and San Marino weren’t occupied (tho San Marino was bombed by the Allies)

also the caucase front pic looks sus to me

    2. Would probably better to have used the 1933 borders to show what they had vs conquered and occupied

    3. and these are just the camps in Poland, Malyj Trostenec, Jasenovac, Natzwelier, Gospic, Mauthausen, Bergen Belsen, Gospic, Pag, San Sabba, Buchenwald, Ravensbruck, Dachau, Nenengamme etc…add up to the list of German Lagers

A bit of semantics but is the source creator counting the General Government as directly annexed by Germany? But then it doesn’t explain occupied France being light grey instead of dark grey.

Nothing to detract from the point of the map, jist some minor labeling things we pick apart in this sub for fun.

My dad told me that he saw the chimneys and told me that they had prisoners build a fence and then machine gunned them ( I was a kid but I thought they did by airplane)

He was there about two weeks in gusen 1 or 2 and his testimony is in the national archives for the defense where he said that they were all criminals

    7. A significant amount of victims of the holocaust lost their lives in mass executions, especially in the USSR. But the number of total civilian deaths caused by Nazi Germany is even higher.

    8. Most of the victims in those camps were Jews, murdered by the Germans and their accomplices.

    9. So… This map shows 3million people in total died in the concentration camps, how can there be 6 million jews if poles and disabled people also made a huge portion of those who died in the extermination camps?
