      Hotels are so expensive ..: when I’m paying 45,000¥ for a showa era place then the prices are too damn high

      Some domestic business travelers have to stay in Internet cafes to meet their budgets. And we used to do staycations in some of the luxury hotels just after Covid but not anymore!

      But companies only sets a limit of ¥11,000 hotel reimbursement for domestic business trips….

      I kid you not, the cheapest hotels around the middle of Tokyo ( Shibuya for eg) are love hotels. I was searching for a decent business hotel, but you can’t beat 8000 jpy / night with „family friendly room“ AND breakfast. Just don’t bring blacklight…

      Man, overseas travel is getting too expensive. Maybe this year I’ll just focus on domestic trips…..oh wait….
