I’d ask what’s his plan, but I don’t think Trump even knows.

„has to say it“? No. It’s technically the truth. Just because Trump had him kidnapped and trafficked to the US to face criminal charges, Venezuela has, as far as I know, not taken any steps to formally terminate Maduro’s presidency.

Trump has to say Biden was the legitimate president before his second term.

Totally true. If Delcy wants to survive this, she has to play the two sides by externally defending Maduro and internally negotiating with Trump.

Where even is Maduro? Haven’t heard a single thing about him since his capture.

If Maduro is the legitimate president, why is he held captive?
Stop pirating Venezuelan oil tankers with the US military!

For those of you that didn’t read the article, the headline makes it sound like Trump is demanding Rodriguez continue to recognize Maduro as the legitimate president. But he’s actually saying Rodriguez needs to keep saying Maduro is still the president for her own internal politics

Yeah she has to say it because you didn’t get rid of the regime, you numbskull

So you abducted him, then stole Venezuela’s oil & now you demand he’s reinstated. Did Maduro transfer the necessary funds to trump’s cryptocurrency grift for release? Trump is corruption personified.

But I thought the whole justification for nabbing him was that he was an unelected dictator that was in charge of a cartel? Why would they then recognize him as the legitimate leader?

If she doesn’t what does that mean?

Sorry but that’s not how elections work. This dude doesn’t like democracy and has zero authority to tell another country how to run their elections while not recognizing that they ran elections and the person the people chose was not put in power by the USA. He chose another dictator. What does that tell you about his beliefs?

Chris wright said „other cabinet members may visit Venezuela.“ Can you imagine the Keystone Kabinet of RFK Jr, Noem, Bessent and the other clowns going down there and spewing their bullshit to a country so desperate for meaningful reforms. And, not to mention, shouldn’t most of the cabinet be focused on US domestic issues?

I know we have been for a very long time, but surely people see this is maddening lunacy.
