Präsident Selenskyj: Die Ukraine hat für Sicherheitsgarantien auf Atomwaffen, Kampfflugzeuge und andere militärische Vermögenswerte verzichtet. Letztlich haben wir weder die Waffen noch die Garantien.

He’s right to be suspicious, would you trust an agreement from Trump i sure as hell wouldn’t. Whilst that man or his sycophants are in power in America they’re hard to trust.

Sadly, it was a memorandum not a treaty. Ukraine was deceived by all of the parties to this worthless piece of paper. It is a shame that all the politicians & their populations should acknowledge. We need to make amends for our neglect & increase military production & aid for Ukraine ASAP.

Ukraine was wrong to trust Russia. This is unfortunate. If justice is a concern, then Russia needs a punishment equal to their horrors. Unfortunately, the major powers of the free world are not even united enough to come to their proper aid. Putin was right about one thing – the west is indecisive, and to our great detriment.

Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons and strategic bombers because they couldn’t afford to maintain them.
Russia themselves were struggling with 10x the GDP to upkeep what they had.

I know or have known a number of these ruZZian expats living in the West. Only a few are embarrassed by the state of their country. Most still support Putin and see the invasion of Ukraine as just. Some of the more recent emigres try to avoid being identified ruZZians by claiming to be Ukrainian and appearing to be neutral in their views on the war, or engage in „whataboutism“, with cynical statements that all leaders and all countries are no better than Putin’s ruZZia.
