As if it wasn’t bad enough that Stephen’s show is about to be pulled off the air… why is CBS so desperate to appease this crabby, moronic dictator?

CBS has become a propaganda mechanism for the GOP.

Colbert is the last bit of „truthiness“.

I dropped CBS after they caved over the 60 minutes suit. I’m not going back so long as it’s owned by that fucking lizard Ellison. To see them cave to that nazi Carr is no surprise to me.

Pulling interviews of political adversaries to appease the sitting President?

Totally cool and normal. And totally not at all like North Korea or Iran.

    We are so fucked.

  5. I do hope that Mr Colbert when he chooses to, finds a path back into TV media and is able to continue his fight for your (I’m UK) democracy. Alongside Jimmy Kimmel the chat show hosts have stood clear and strong in denouncing Trump and his reprehensible and cruel attack on a leading democracy.

Now the leopards are feasting amongst MAGA perhaps their end is nigh. 🤞🏻

    Here’s the scoop kids:

David Ellison [wants access](https://bpr.studentorg.berkeley.edu/2025/12/03/how-the-ellison-empire-is-killing-americas-democratic-media/) to the doors that the executive branch holds the keys to. Get familiar[Unitary Executive Theory](https://constitutionus.com/democracy/unitary-executive-theory/)

David Ellison appoints/crowns/ brings in [Bari Weiss](https://www.democracynow.org/2025/10/8/bari_weiss_david_klion_cbs_paramount) (look up this conservative Queen)

Bari Weiss at the head of CBC turns CBS into a tool of fascist state media.

Talarico should now gain traction from all news outlets, to see the FCC squirm.

It’s a lie that FCC leadership wants equal time for conservative candidates. It wants NO candidates.

Equal time, if enforced, means they’re obligated to invite the opposing candidate to appear. But conservative candidates do not want to go on Colbert. Because they’re largely jackasses and the last thing they actually want is to end up making even bigger jackasses of themselves on TV.

  9. I’m hoping it will backfire on Carr create a bit of a Streisand effect and draw more attention to the interview. It’s well worth a watch on YouTube.

  10. I look forward to Colbert soon reaching a much broader audience than he ever could with the Late Show shackles on. Network TV is dead as dirt.

Censored free speech and having state run and controlled media propaganda machines like fox news. This is what MAGA wants.

I *never* would’ve watched this interview had the FCC, Carr and CBS tried to stop me. Please, for the love of God, VOTE IN NOVEMBER.

  13. When media companies decline to exercise their Constitutionally protected free speech in fear of backlash from the government you are no longer anticipating the rise and/or threat of a fascist state, you are IN one.

    This is by design.

This threat by a government agency is intended to create a slippery slope in which speech is voluntarily withheld or otherwise stifled resulting in the elimination of dissent.

It starts out small, and it eventually snowballs to the point the populace is only consuming state approved content.

    This is dangerous.

This cannot happen in a free state.

I would love if the republican candidate got equal interview time with Colbert. Please let Colbert interview Paxton

The Republican government is using its power to silence opposition candidates? The Trump administration may not check all of the boxes to justify calling them 100% fascist, but they do check way too many.

  16. This is censorship from the snowflakes who called everyone snowflakes. If you look back, they accuse others of what they are.

We badly need a law to force corporations to abide by the same limitations the government must abide by, especially regarding free speech.

  18. Yes, CBS sucks now, but this is the FCC under Brendan Carr of Project 2025 fame doing this.

It’s a shame that all of these rich dudes bought news media companies so that they could immediately obliterate their brand, but information is everywhere now. People who seek authenticity and objective fact based reporting will find it eventually.

like Paxton would ever submit to an interview by Colbert, Paxton would not like the questions he would get

Silencing the media and talk show hosts/ comics under its umbrella network is attacking one of the pillars Democracy needs to be supported by.

Free speech advocates on the right are too quiet about this relentless targeting.
