Unless it’s done by a state owned oil company what is the point of even harvesting the oil? Only the rich benefit and it pollutes water and soil

Someone doesn’t know that Mexico is part of North America and also oil rich.

„North America“
Where’s Mexico?

It is said that „there are only 2 parishes without active oil extraction in Louisiana. And Orleans probably has oil as well“

These arent oil reserves, each point is a well, and by the looks of it its not just oil but natural gas wells too.
Source: i worked with oil and gas well data and it looks extremely familiar

Why do Wisconsin and Minnesota have such little oil?

Isn’t there any petrol in Mexico or isn’t Mexico in North America?

All of that used to be ocean

Is Mexico not part of North America?

This is a map of oil and natural gas deposits. A lot of what you see down on the eastern United States is the Marcellus Shale natural gas deposit rather than an oil deposit.

So, is Wisconsin the only state that doesn’t have any?
I get why America is trying to get Alberta to secede and join it now.
USA: [Invades itself]. Problem solved.
The entire state of Michigan is not floating on an ocean of oil.
Whoever made this map went a little overboard with the black ink.
Wow. It’s really spooky how North American oil deposits are somehow laid out in the shape of my dad holding a belt
I get why, but all oil reserve maps look like somebody spilt ink all of the page
This lines up with northamerica 77 million years ago when we had a sea split the continent in half. All the dead sea life is now our oil
Awful map. Are the dots just well locations? What’s your source?
North America but excludes Alaska, much of Canada, and Mexico.
Had no idea Michigan has so much oil and I grew up there
Oops, sorry, I spilled my ink all over the map.
Damn, what a coincidence that the oil just stops at the mexican border, huh
What happened to Mexico?
All that oil and they still go around the world to steal even more
Why is there so much oil piled up on the borders to Mexico and Canada?
It’s almost like there was some sort of shallow inland sea running through the middle of North America 🤔
All of this and still bothering other countries because of oil
This map should be considered together with [Cretaceous America](https://www.reddit.com/r/Naturewasmetal/comments/s30cmr/the_western_interior_seaway_was_a_shallow_ocean/?rdt=62041)
Shhhhhhhhh
