      92 years ago, on February 17 1934, King Albert I died in a tragic mountaineering accident in Marche-les-Dames. The death of our king came as a shock to the country. Albert I gained popularity as the commander-in-chief of the army during the First World War. His state funeral was attended by nearly two million people, including many European royals and war veterans.
