    >“We can’t have American producers closing American factories and offshoring. We need to protect American jobs and protect American manufacturing,” Paulson said just last year.

    >Paulson raised $50.5 million for Trump during his 2024 presidential campaign. And like Trump, he’s pushed pro–domestic worker rhetoric while leaving those same workers out to dry.

Who could have seen this coming? Oh, wait. Everyone.

    >Hedge fund billionaire John Paulson plans to offshore the East Lake, Ohio, plant of Conn Selmer, the largest U.S. manufacturer of brass and orchestra instruments.

Paulson. Billionaire hedge fund manager. Big donor to Trump. Closing the doors and moving the manufacturing of American made brass instruments to China while promising American workers prosperity. Sorry Ohio. Vote differently next time. Another cynical rich asshole fucking up this country. He made his money during the big short.

C’mon Republicans… when are you going to realize billionaires are the real issue and will never put ‘America first’?

The Epstein class doesn’t care about the United States. They can pack up shop, collect their money, and leave. Doesn’t sound very patriotic to me knowing there is a migrant willing to risk their life for the chance to live here. When will the magats see that the Epstein billionaires have no loyalty?

Billionaires are severely ill people, it’s like the ‘gold sickness’ dragons have in fantasy.  It’s never enough money, with billions but still just feels an insatiable need for more money

  6. This is just the start of it

    Canadian compaines

There is a push for Canadian compaines to move there manufacturing out of the states.Ass of the end of 2025 there was 40 Canadian manufacturing plants in the states

    South Korea/Germany

Both are looking at pulling all manufacturing out of the states.

    Switzerland

Is cutting back on its manufacturing in the States.

Wake me when America First includes American jobs first till then it’s amateur hour at the apocalypse and the donor class has no zip code loyalty.

  8. So they used up all the “great” and it’s back to the future. I can’t take all this winning!

It’s never been “America First”, and has always been Epstein Class first.

Donates to Trump, makes back many times the amount he donated with Trump winning, cashes out and moves to China likely with tarriff free exports of his goods into the U.S too.

  11. China’s a good fit for these guys; they love authoritarians, they hate labor protections, and they hate paying people.

I have no doubt they’ll spin it as the democrats fault but goddamn is this a slam dunk for the Dems campaign plans. I know MAGA loves just shooting themselves in the foot constantly but you only have so many toes. Hopefully they feel this

    China’s defying all offshoring expectations.

It seems like even though it’s more expensive than ever to manufacture there, seemingly every North American and European company is going to China to build their products. Hardly anyone’s going to India, even though they’re cheaper than China by some margin.

Is it purely comparative advantage? China seems to be able to make damn near everything at whatever quality level you demand from them.

  14. We know. Every Republican in the past 5 decades at least has done this. The problem is all the simps that keep falling for the same bullshit.

The business owners yelling about “America First” are always the first to hire someone from overseas for below minimum wage or have a chatbot do it if it saves them a nickel.
