      I think the matches will ultimately go ahead but I think there is zero chance of it taking place in Dublin

      All talk. They’ll soak up the praise if there’s any going around. But zero action. They’ll sit on the OTB too, until Gaza’s gone (which likely won’t take much longer) and the West Bank is next.

      Here’s what the FAI should have done imo. Rather than swiftly agreeing to the fixtures, they should have sent a letter to UEFA and the Israeli football association asking for clarification on whether or not the association represents clubs operating in the occupied territories (which it does). This would have brought (more) international attention to the occupation and, depending on the response, the FAI could have made an informed decision to refuse to play and any accusations of anti-semitism would sound ridiculous.

      I’d much rather see more tactical and impactful activism from Ireland rather than ineffective statements and flag waving which imo are getting us nowhere.

      The match should happen here. We shouldn’t lose our home advantage because of others‘ sins. Ideally, Israel wouldn’t be in the competition at all until they withdraw from the Palestinian state, but that isn’t in our control and considering how few chances we get at the Euros – I don’t think it’s fair on the players to ask them to sacrifice a lifelong dream of potentially in a Euros to boycott it. We shouldn’t be put in a position where it’s up to us to boycott it to begin with.

      Every single cent raised from away end ticket sales should go directly to Palestine. Hopefully the home fans can double the amount raised too.

      Sometimes there is more to life than sport. Ireland boycotting Isreael would send a huge message but unfortunately, the American lobby are too powerful and the Irish Govt will concede

      If they’re hell bent on going ahead then yes it should be in Dublin in front of a full house with all gate receipts going to Palestinian charities like Norway did during World Cup Qualifiers. Preferably we should just boycott it seeing as it’s the fucking Nations League. Who cares?

      If it’s held on Ireland, all of the Irish fans should go but in Palestine kit, and with Palestinian flags.
      The match will be televised in Israel, after all.
