I agree. Let’s go back to the start. Then we can accept russia and belarus in the future on our terms only if they meet our standards and are no longer a threat to our existence
Should have always been this way. russia is and always has been an enemy and threat to the civilised world. Hell, they only helped in ww2 because their nazi buddies stabbed them in the side, before that they were doing their favourite thing – Invading Europe, alongside the nazis.

Total sanctions absolutely but sending Putin more people to pressgang into his military is a backwards step. We should really be looking at ways to get more of his people peacefully to other countries and starve him of population, especially the young and clever ones.
And block russian competitors from all international events, be it sports or esports, chess. Make their elite also feel the pressure and consequences
