Die Präsidentschaft der Europäischen Union ist kein Hindernis für die Wiederaufnahme substanzieller Verhandlungen über das Zypern-Problem.
Der Präsident sagte, dass der Vorwand, dass im Mai Parlamentswahlen stattfinden würden, lächerlich sei.
Er sagte auch, dass er bereit sei, bereits nächste Woche nach New York zu reisen.
Bezüglich der Straße an der Straßensperre Agios Dometios sagte der Präsident, dass die Verbreiterung der Straße in den freien Gebieten schon vor langer Zeit abgeschlossen sei und dass die zypriotische Regierung angeboten habe, die Straße auch innerhalb der Pufferzone fertigzustellen, Tatar habe dies jedoch abgelehnt.

He promised to increase booth capacity to 7 and open road tax offices in Astromeritis and Famagusta by the end of January. Its 16th of February but its free to blame Tatar.

Why is UN offering to stall the talks until July, any reasonable explanation?!!! When it’s July they’ll say „oh it’s too hot, let’s meet in December“ etc etc
