Why would they do that? I mean they are already in deep shit when it comes to their economy?
The revenue of the oil is what funding Iran nuclear and missile programs, as well as the proxy terrorist groups in the middle east and the bullets they used to kill the protestors.
Iran could have used the revenue for so many other purposes like solving the water shortage issues or improving the economy. But no, they use it for supporting terrorism and radical religious goals of eliminating Israel by nukes.
China knows very well what Iran is doing to its own people and other countries in the middle east. But it wants the low-cost oil and more importantly chaos over there to probably tie up the US forces.
I am not sure a nation treating people as tools to exploit has the quality to lead humanity at all.

I really don’t see what Israel can do to meaningfully help with this (especially when Iran clearly sees some of its citizens as expendable) but I agree with the strategy.

These are the two clowns made a whole bunch of trouble when they tore up the Iran Nukes Deal. My feeling is that attack from Gaza some years back would never have happened if Trump had not stabbed Iran in the back the way he did.
Headline is misleading, goal is to harm Iran by preventing it from selling to China in order to pressure Iran, not to use pressure on Iran to make it agree to stop selling to China.
Why would Iran agree to that? Or China? Why would the US even feel the need to get involved? Iran is no threat to the US. China is going to buy oil somewhere and better Iran than Russia. Unless the US wanted China to buy Russian oil which obviously we would not right?
Did they provide a similarly priced alternative?
