I generally don’t like to be against someone because they are rich only. I think my feelings are evolving on that a little.
I still don’t necessarily fall into the camp of „tax the billionaires more“, because that would require trust in the system. Obviously it’s set up to have loopholes. And any tax increase that would be advertised as going after billionaires is gonna end up applying to regular people, with the billionaires either having some kind of loophole, or paying off politicians to create new loopholes.
But I am starting to think the mega rich are a huge problem. Because the natural progression seems to be once you’ve bought everything you could, you start buying things that should never be for sale (as we are now seeing 🙄). Sometimes it’s influence over governments. Sometimes it’s worse. And sometimes it’s deciding who lives or dies on a mass scale; like we see with these depopulationist „philanthropists“.
I don’t know what the answer is to this.
