      As they should. Trump insisted that controlling Greenland was critical to US interests. You don’t show that level of intent and then just walk away at the first sign of resistance. You go away and come up with another plan.

      Of course he does, Trump hates losing. The problem is that an order to attack Nuuk is the legal equivalent of an order to attack New York, so there is nothing he can do.

      Of course. NATO isn’t ramping up it’s presence on Greenland to appease the Trump regime’s ‚concerns‘ about China and Russia being a threat. They genuinely believe the US could take it by force. Trump made it clear he wants to own Greenland. That hasn’t changed because he’s not talking much about Greenland at the moment. But knowing how Trump operates, we could be back talking about a possible invasion tomorrow if someone mentions Greenland to Trump.

      As a Canadian, I can sympathize with what you’re going through.

      As a country, it’s important to both build bridges, and know when NOT to use them. (Figuratively, and in our case, most literally.)

      Trump wants Greenland because a rich friend has interests. The US military on the other hand thinks it’s a stupid decision and intentionally trying to slow roll it.
